For his part, the commander of DYPA, Spyros Protopsaltis, underlined: “In recent years, at DYPA we have made a great effort and today’s figures reflect the result and highlight both the large number and the wide range, but also the anthropo-geography of our fellow citizens who joined the employment programs. The quadrupling of the beneficiaries of the innovative actions, which we implemented and continue to implement, was not self-evident. It is the result of hard, persistent and targeted work, in order for DYPA to evolve from a stipend and cumbersome body with bureaucratic anchors into a dynamic pillar of substantial support for the unemployed and the creation of new jobs, responding to its institutional role. Consistent with our commitment to find full-time work for as many unemployed people as we can and suitable staff in as many businesses as we can, we will continue to invest in active employment policies and necessary reforms.”
