The alleged mastermind of this assassination, a 23-year-old man who was already detained, was placed in pre-trial detention and returned to his prison in Luynes, near Aix-en-Provence, said Nicolas Bessone, the prosecutor. of the Republic of Marseille.
One of the two teenagers recruited the previous Wednesday by the same sponsor was arrested. He was placed under judicial supervision with the obligation to reside in a closed educational center far from Marseille.
What happened?
It all begins Wednesday evening, with a first drama: two 15-year-olds, recruited for 2,000 euros via social networks by the 23-year-old inmate, are supposed to intimidate a competitor by setting fire to the door of his apartment. But one of the two is spotted by a gang present at the foot of the building and killed after an unprecedented outbreak of violence.
The inmate who ordered it then tries to take revenge. He recruits, again on social networks, another young person, only 14 years old and from Vaucluse, to go and kill a member of the enemy gang, for 50,000 euros this time.
Taken to a hotel room, where he is joined by an acolyte (currently still on the run), the young hitman orders a VTC to carry out his contract. But the driver, Nessim Ramdane, a 36-year-old father, refuses to comply with the two young people. He is killed by a bullet to the head.
Paradoxical element of the case: it was the sponsor himself of this contract who called the police, at 17, to denounce the young assassin, who had therefore not fulfilled his mission, allowing his arrest.
In police custody, the minor, placed in a home since he was nine years old with parents who were themselves detained in drug-related cases, admitted to having shot the driver, explaining however that the shot fired accidentally.
