While going downhill with her father, she probably went off the slopes and hit her head against a tree, the Tyrol police said on Thursday. Even though she was wearing a helmet, she probably sustained fatal injuries. However, the exact course of the accident is still unclear, and the police are appealing for information.
The girl was probably on the slopes with her father, but he drove ahead and only noticed in the area of the valley station that his daughter was not following him. During his search, the father discovered the girl in the lowest area of the slope, around five meters below the slope’s embankment, next to a tree. Together with other skiers, he immediately provided first aid and made resuscitation measures and made an emergency call. Any help came too late for the girl.
