(CNN) On the 14th, a car collided with three horses on which three teenagers were riding on a highway in Dallas, Texas, USA, killing one 14-year-old and taking two to the hospital. Dallas police said the horses were stolen and two died.
According to a police statement, around 5:30 am local time on the 14th, the police rushed to the road at the scene following receiving a call. An investigation revealed that the three people riding the horses were minors and that the horses they were riding had been stolen.
One of the three, a 14-year-old, died at the scene. The other two, aged 16 and 17, were taken to a nearby hospital and are said to be in stable condition.
One horse died at the scene and the other was euthanized on the spot by a veterinarian. The remaining one is also injured, but it does not appear to be life-threatening.
The driver of the car is not expected to be charged. The investigation is still ongoing.
