14 candidates are running for President of the Republic of Cyprus | Europe

On February 5, voters Republic of Cyprus Go to the polls to elect a new president President Nicos Anastasiades regarding to retire following two consecutive terms.

There are a total of 14 candidates participating run for election.

Poll results show that the top three candidates are former Foreign Minister Nikos Christodouldes, right-wing DISY leader Averof Neophytou, and diplomat Andreas Mavroyiannis, backed by the left-wing AKEL party.

However, according to the poll, it is unlikely that any of these three candidates will get the majority of votes to win in the first round, so it may have to conduct a second round of voting on the 12th. /2.

Polling stations open at 5:00 am on February 5, GMT (ie 12 noon on the same day in Vietnam time) and close at 16 pm on the same day. Results are expected to be available within 2 hours following polling stations close.
