The KBS 2TV music program ‘You Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook’ (herefollowing ‘Sketchbook’), which singer Yoo Hee-yeol has been running for over 13 years, has ended with 600 episodes.
According to Nielsen Korea, a ratings research company on the 23rd, the final episode of ‘Sketchbook’ at 11:30 pm the previous day recorded 1.2%.
On this day’s broadcast, Yoo Hee-yeol expressed his gratitude, “It’s been 13 years and 3 months (since I first took on the role), and today is the 600th episode.”
He continued, “I’ve been preparing for the 600th episode for a long time, but for today, I want you to put down the worries and worries of the past and become the main characters with bright faces.”
In the final episode, under the theme of ‘Our Summer Day’, Paul Kim, Melomance, 10CM, Heize, Daybreak, Oh My Girl’s Hyojeong and Seunghee, Kim Jong Kook, SISTAR, and Gummy appeared.
‘Sketchbook’, which first aired in April 2009, is praised for providing a stage where viewers can enjoy the live music of their favorite singers, and a stage where unfamiliar artists can become known to the public.
Yoo Hee-yeol’s unique dialogue and progress made it fun to watch, but the program was abolished following he announced his intention to leave due to the recent controversy over plagiarism.
Yoo Hee-yeol stated that it was difficult to completely agree with the allegation of plagiarism apart from leaving the show, but he did not mention this in the previous day’s broadcast.
