Police spokesman Mattias Schuster confirmed the incident. The twelve-year-old victim was treated as an outpatient in hospital following the attack. The attacker was found at home following the incident and has not yet been questioned, but is still being summoned.
According to the executive, both boys got into each other’s hair on the way home during a school dispute, said Schuster. After class ended, the older one stabbed the younger one from behind on the street. The Vienna professional rescue service provided the victim with emergency medical care in the corridor of the school building and took the boy to a hospital, which he was allowed to leave following several hours.
