A 13-year-old showed courage when she fought off a shark attacking her in Florida.
The story happened last Thursday at Fort Pierce Beach as 13-year-old Ella Reed sat in shallow water with a friend. It was then that a shark attacked him, she told Local 10 News.
She first managed to scare the animal away by kicking it, but it quickly returned to the charge.
“The shark itself was so powerful. That’s what I felt the most because he was biting my stomach really hard, ”said the young girl, adding that she had to use her arm and her hand to try to free herself.
This is a horror scene for Ella Reed’s mother. “It was crazy because she was completely covered in blood, from head to toe. So she mightn’t really see what was going on,” she explained.
Fortunately, the teenager was not seriously injured. However, she had 19 stitches in her stomach, arm, finger and knee,
