13 TNI Soldiers Become Suspects of KKB Persecution in Papua – 2024-04-02 04:00:57

Kapendam XVII Cenderawasih Lt. Col. Chandra Kurniawan revealed that as many as 13 TNI soldiers were named as suspects in the crime of assaulting a member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), Definus Kogoya, in Papua.

The status determination was made following Pomdam XVII/Cen in collaboration with Pomdam III/Siliwangi carried out an examination of all those involved.

“Witnesses have been questioned, including post-mortem results that have been received by investigators, along with other evidence. Currently the legal process is still ongoing,” stressed Kapendam,” said Candra.

Meanwhile, Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih has deployed a team to investigate cases of violence that occurred in Puncak Regency, Central Papua.

Candra revealed that the team led by Dandim 1717/Puncak Lt. Col. Jonathan Nidio Aprimanda was created to follow up on the results of identifying viral videos and as a form of commitment to law enforcement once morest acts of violence allegedly carried out by TNI soldiers once morest members of the Papuan KKB.

The Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih investigation team carried out a series of activities in Ilaga, Ilaga District and Gome, Gome District, Puncak Regency, Friday (29/3) at 08.00 WIT. (Z-11)
