13 NATO warships heading to Stockholm after exercises

13 warships from several NATO countries head to the port of Frihamn in Stockholm following the exercise. The duty liaison officer of the Swedish Armed Forces told the newspaper Aftonbladetthat it is necessary for the rest of the crews.

Nine German and four Baltic ships are going to the port. The Swedish Armed Forces notes that this is a “routine visit” not related to the situation in Ukraine. Sweden did not take part in the exercise.

About 30 warships enter Sweden every year. It is alleged that this visit was long planned. The ships will stay in the port for several days.
