125 Palestinians killed in Israeli shelling of Al-Tabi’in School in Gaza City, in preliminary toll

The Israeli army issued a statement confirming that it “targeted terrorists operating from inside a school that was being used as a shelter for civilians.”

The statement read: “A short while ago, an aircraft, under intelligence guidance from the Military Intelligence Service, the Shin Bet and the Southern Command, raided terrorists who worked in a military command headquarters that was located inside the “Al-Tabi’in” school, which is located next to a mosque in the Al-Daraj and Al-Tuffah area and is used as a shelter for the city’s residents.”

The statement added: “The terrorists of the Palestinian factions used the headquarters to hide and to promote various terrorist attacks against IDF forces and the State of Israel.”

The Israeli army confirmed that “before carrying out the raid, several steps were taken to reduce the possibility of civilian casualties, including the use of ammunition specific to the type of raid and the use of aerial photographs and other intelligence information.”

The Israeli army concluded its statement by stressing that the factions’ movement systematically violates the provisions of international law, absurdly exploiting civilian institutions, shelters and civilians as human shields for terrorist activities and purposes,” according to its statement.

On the other hand, the Civil Defense in Gaza reported that after the Israeli raids on the “Al-Tabi’een” school, the bodies of the citizens caught fire, and the crews are trying to control the fire to retrieve the bodies and rescue the wounded.

The Palestinian Shehab Agency published a horrific photo of the victims from inside the school.
