After the K-League schedule five days ago, Jeonbuk and Daegu met in a single match in the Asian Champions League round of 16.

The balance was broken by Jeonbuk first.

In the first minute of the second half, Kyo-Won Han broke through the defense with a brilliant technique and posted a sharp cross.

Scored goals in the last 3 matches, including the K-League.

The lead didn’t last long.

10 minutes later, Daegu Jeka equalized.

Jeonbuk defender Yoon Young-sun did not miss the mistake and paid back the same between the goalkeeper’s legs.

As a substitute, Daegu veteran Lee Geun-ho’s menacing header missed the goal, and it ended up in overtime.

Daegu’s decisive header was blocked, and Jeonbuk’s Lee Seung-gi’s lightning shot and Kim Jin-soo’s fantastic non-rotating medium-range cannon were blocked in the goalpost, just before the end of the penalty shootout spirit.

Kim Jin-gyu, who was put in as a substitute, connected the ball, which the Daegu defense might not properly kick, with a dramatic winning goal.

“Honestly, I was thinking regarding penalty shootouts to some extent, but I thought that I still had a little bit of time left, so my desire to score seems to have been effective.”

After 120 minutes of bloody battle, Jeonbuk won 2-1 and advanced to the quarterfinals.

The opponents for the quarterfinals will be decided by lottery the day following tomorrow.
