France is releasing an additional 120 million euros for artificial intelligence. This new envelope reinforces the second phase of the national strategy consisting in “spreading AI into the economy”as Guillaume Avrin reminded us, appointed at the start of the year to the position of national coordinator of AI strategy, with the new factory.
The first phase aimed to structure “the ecosystem with the creation of 3IA institutes and the establishment of research infrastructures”, according to Guillaume Avrin. The second stage, focused on technologies, is centered around three pillars which are training, support for deeptechs and bringing together supply and demand in AI. The training of 400,000 digital experts by 2030 so that companies “can recruit under the best conditions” had thus been announced by Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister Delegate in charge of the Digital Transition, to Franceinfo at the end of February.
