A 12-year-old boy, who was riding a bicycle, was hit by a car on Friday morning outside the door of his school in Torhout. His vital prognosis is engaged, indicated the Bruges section of the West Flanders prosecution.
The accident happened around 8:00 a.m. near a school in Torhout. A car collided with the young cyclist in the Sint-Jozefstraat. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition.
A traffic expert has been appointed by the prosecution to shed light on the circumstances of the accident.
