12 people died when the roof of a temple well collapsed in India

More than 30 people were woken up by the collapse of the roof of a well in a temple located in the most densely populated city of Indore in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, out of which 12 pilgrims died.

The incident occurred when the temple was packed with devotees from all over India on the occasion of Ram Navami, the birthday of the Hindu deity Lord Rama.

The incident at Beleshwar Mahadev Temple took place due to the large number of devotees on the occasion of Ram Navami. Examination of the scene revealed that due to the load of people, the roof of the well on which the temple was situated collapsed and people poured into the well. I woke up.

Videos from the crash site showed devotees being brought out using ropes and ladders.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in his statement that all efforts are being made to save those who fell into the well, it is an unfortunate incident but the rescue operation is going on.

Later in a statement, he said that the rescue operation ended in the afternoon.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he was saddened by the accident, in his tweet he said that he was deeply saddened by the accident in Indore.

The Indian Prime Minister said that he spoke to the Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan ji and took an update on the situation. The state government is speeding up the rescue and relief operations. My prayers are with all the affected people and their families. .

Indore Collector T Raja had earlier said that the rescue work is going on and the administration is closely monitoring the situation.
