12-meter fall: Climber (51) fell from a waterfall into a stream bed

In the afternoon, a 51-year-old local man was busy with renovation work on the artificially created “Icegate” waterfall in the Taschachschlucht when – without securing himself – he fell about twelve meters into the icy stream bed of the Taschachbach in free fall for an unknown reason. The seriously injured climber was flown to the Innsbruck clinic after receiving first aid from the mountain rescue team.
