12 good and cheap Chinese cars to buy in Spain

On many occasions we have seen a certain car whose aesthetics were very familiar to us, taking us by surprise when discovering that the manufacturer is a unknown brand of Chinese origin. The Chinese government is not very strict when it comes to copyrights and for this reason it is quite common to find new vehicles with designs clearly inspired by European or American models.

Perhaps this recipe will work in a market that is not very interested in offering great luxury and extravagance, mainly because drivers are preoccupied with other issues and their main requirement is that the car be cheap, simple and easy to use. However, that does not mean that China does not like flashy, opulent, fast and high-quality cars. As a result, we can see some specimens that might perfectly pass for being products intended for other markets such as North America or Europe. By the way, these are the 10 most imported cars in Spain.

From Car and Driver we have decided to do a compilation of all those that we have found most interesting in relation to their quality / price, the vast majority being SUVs that will gradually gain prominence in our country as they offer very competitive prices, good behavior on the road, an interesting technological endowment and mechanics with which to access the DGT ECO badge. Some are even offered with 100% electric propulsion systems, such as the Aiways U5, with ranges of use very similar to that of its European rivals. However, we have also wanted to remember other models that have not yet crossed our borders, but that have been very interesting for us to make known because they offer some peculiar characteristics that cannot go unnoticed.

Without further ado, it’s time to meet these 12 candidates from China, a country that over the years has been sending new and varied products to other countries like ours, and does not seem to have the intention of stopping as more and more Chinese manufacturers arrive at our borders. Let’s get to know their names, as well as the main characteristics of these interesting vehicles. Will any of them soon be part of Europe’s best-selling electric cars?
