11-Year-Old Boy Shot by Police: Investigation and Controversy in Mississippi

An 11-year-old boy was shot by a police officer. in Mississippi, United States, following calling 911 for an alleged episode of domestic violence.

According to the boy’s mother, Nakala Murry, an Indianola Police Department officer came to her home last Saturday and shot her son, Aderrien, in the chest.

The woman pointed to CNN what the father of another of his children came home “angry” around 4:00 a.m., so he asked the 11-year-old boy to call the police.

After attending the procedure, Murry assured that the uniformed “He had his gun drawn at the front door and asked those inside the house to come out.”

As Aderrien turned the corner of a hallway to leave the house, police officer Greg Capers shot him for reasons under investigation.

“Once he got out of the corner, they shot him. The same policeman who told him to get out of the house. (Aderrien) did it and they shot him.”argued his mother.

Police investigate shooting that left child injured

Murry’s family attorney, Carlos Moore, told CNN that the incident was captured on the police officer’s body camera.
