The International Colloquium on Education: Current and Future Issues in Training and the Teaching Profession is an opportunity to take stock of our field of research, training and the teaching profession, and to explore current issues, while thinking promising avenues of research and development.
The general scientific objective of this international symposium is therefore to stimulate debates and reflections of a high intellectual level around four important themes:
- Training to teach: initial and continuing professional training
- Getting into teaching: professional integration
- Acting as a teaching professional: work
- Teaching and learning with digital
These themes form a continuum that covers all of the processes that make up the teaching condition today: training to teach; fit into the profession; Intervene as a professional in interaction with other school and educational actors and work in the school institution. A fourth theme is added, digital education, which is now a must in the field of education.
This symposium also has objectives that are priorities for the entire scientific community. Three objectives will be given priority:
- Bring together researchers from different countries with the aim of pooling their respective expertise and work in order to promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge and to stimulate debate and progress around common themes and research objects;
- Ensure the dissemination of the most up-to-date knowledge on training, integration, educational intervention, the teaching profession and digital education to partners and public bodies working in the field of education, as well as education agents: teachers , stakeholders, establishment management, etc. ;
- Develop an international network of collaborations and partnerships with researchers and various actors in the education sector.
