A Middle East Airlines plane from the Polish capital, Warsaw, arrived at Beirut airport, carrying one hundred and five Lebanese students who were pursuing their university studies in Ukraine.
The Secretary-General of the Higher Relief Commission, Major General Mohamed Khair, had left for Warsaw to supervise all procedures in coordination with the Lebanese Embassy in Poland.
The families of the Lebanese students from various Lebanese regions have flocked since this evening to the airport to meet their children
Major General Khair said that “all Lebanese nationals have been evacuated from Poland and Romania, and we are communicating with those who remain inside Ukrainian territory, and their situation is tragic.”
