Happy Birthday Art!
RTS Espace 2 celebrates the anniversary of Art at the 6 roofs in Geneva, a living arts laboratory in the heart of Les Charmilles.
A live broadcast in public between 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. in collaboration with the Ensemble Contrechamps, Head (Geneva School of Art and Design), as well as the Ars Acustica group, European Broadcasting Unions.
Especially for the occasion, 12 HEAD students will present their gifts to art, a creation by Swiss-Colombian composer Daniel Zea and finally the performance of cellist Martina brotbeck.
Live performances and discussions with a dozen students from Head and the musicians of the Ensemble Contrechamps.
Art’s Birthday is an international event, born from the imagination of Robert Filliou (1926-1987), a French artist affiliated with the Fluxus movement. The idea emerged in 1963 in his poem “The Whispered History of Art”, in which he established January 17, 1963 as the millionth anniversary of art.
