Higer signs contract to supply 100 electric buses to Uruguay
Higer Bus, the world leader in the production of electric buses, won the tender for 100 electric buses in Uruguay for CUTCSA – Companhia Uruguaia de Transporte Coletivo SA The signing of the contract took place on Tuesday, 27th, in the presence of the Mayor of Montevideo, Carolina Cosse and the president of Cutsca, Juan Antonio Salgado, the company responsible for operating 65% of the urban bus fleet in the Uruguayan capital.
“For us, it is another important step in the South American project, where we foresee the implementation of a technical center in Brazil later this year and a factory from 2025 onwards, from where the models will come to serve Uruguay and other markets in Latin America” analyzed Marcelo Barella, director of operations at Higer Bus in Latin America

The contract with 100 electric buses provides for the delivery of 94 Azure A12BR vehicles, the same standard 12-meter model with which the brand operates in the Brazilian market, in addition to six urban vehicles customized by the factory, with an open top. Delivery will take place in two batches, half in June and the other half in November.
