Located in Miami, Florida – United States, Doroni Aerospace brings in its slogan a speech for the democratization of flights, claiming to be the developer of the first practical and sustainable flying car.
So far called the Doroni H1the company’s eVTOL has space for 2 crew members, is 7 meters long, 4.5 meters wide, 1.6 meters high and can reach a speed of up to 225 kilometers per hour.
Daron Merdinger, CEO of the company, successfully piloted the aircraft on its maiden flight. Check out the video:
According to Merdinger, during the flight he “seemed to float on a cushion of air, experiencing an unrivaled level of freedom and emotion”. The CEO also adds that the purpose of the vehicle is to fly at lower altitudes, being able to enjoy the view of nature.
Despite not being finished yet and not having any price estimate so far, the company already has more than 300 orders for the vehicle and intends to start deliveries by 2025. The company’s production capacity can reach up to 2,500 vehicles per year .
The H1 brings as a differential the use of fully electric propellers and semi-autonomous technology. In all, there are 10 electric motors powered by a battery system with fast charging support.
Despite being simple to use, with a control stick that can be pushed forward, backward and sideways to fly the aircraft outside the controlled space, at least 20 hours of experience are required, of which at least 15 hours in the vehicle itself.
And you, what did you think of Merdinger’s company’s proposal? Do you think flying cars are getting closer? Tell us here in the comments.
