The Vienna Business Career Information Center and the Education Directorate for Vienna are conducting the TalentCheck for the 10th time. − 115,000 Viennese students completed the check.
Vienna (OTS) – After a successful pilot phase in the 2013/14 school year, the TalentCheck Vocational Training is now entering its tenth round. The TalentCheck, a cooperation between the Career Information Center of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce (BiWi) and the Vienna Education Directorate, has already been completed by 115,000 students since its inception.
“In addition to exploring your personal interests, knowing your own strengths and talents is the most important prerequisite for making a successful career or training decision. This is particularly important for students in the 8th grade, because they are faced with crucial decisions for their professional future. Thanks to the collaboration with the Vienna Education Directorate, we have been able to offer the Talent Check to all Viennese schools free of charge for a decade and carry it out directly in the classrooms – a win-win situation for students, teachers and business,” emphasizes Walter Ruck, President of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce.
“I am very pleased regarding this great cooperation with the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. It is a successful community project. With the TalentCheck, more than 115,000 students received support and guidance and I am sure many of them are already very successful in their careers. At school, we give young people what they need for a contented and good life. The Talent Check is an important component. I’m looking forward to the next decade of our cooperation,” says Education Director Heinrich Himmer.
What is the TalentCheck Vocational Training?

- What requirements does the economy place on young people, for example when applying for an apprenticeship?
- What can selection tests look like in practice?
What are the contents of the Talent Check?
