  • The body of a ten-year-old girl has been found in a children’s home in Bavaria.

  • The police assume third-party negligence.

  • Three boys (11, 11, 16) are in custody.

  • A special commission has started investigations.

The ten-year-old girl was found in the St. Josef child and youth welfare facility in Wunsiedel, not far from the Czech border. Employees discovered the lifeless child around 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday morning, as was announced on Wednesday. A summoned emergency doctor could only determine the death of the child.

Apparently, the investigators are assuming an act among young people, as “Bild” reports. The alleged perpetrators are three boys aged 11, 11 and 16 and according to his investigators are already in custody. As the “image” is said to have learned from investigators, there is evidence of a sexual offense.

The shock in the small town runs deep. “We are deeply shocked and stunned,” says Manfred Söllner, Wunsiedel’s second mayor, to 20 minutes. “Our thoughts are with the relatives, the children and the staff of the facility.” The St. Josef child and youth welfare center is a church facility with care provided by appropriately trained and trained staff. “A crisis intervention team is currently taking care of the children and caregivers.”

Facility for around 90 young people

Forensic experts from the Kripo Hof have apparently carried out extensive measures to secure evidence, and an autopsy has been ordered. For investigative reasons, the police do not want to give any further information. The Sankt Josef child and youth welfare center looks after around 90 children and young people from all over Germany, as reported by local media.

As Focus writes, there should have been a good mood in the home days before the body was found. Accordingly, the children are said to have celebrated a youth disco and made Easter nests together. As can be read on the facility’s website, the people there take care of children, adolescents and young adults who “cannot live with their families or cannot live permanently”.

“Traumatizing Event”

Many children are currently not on site because of the Easter holidays, says Christine Allgeyer from the institution’s sponsor, the Catholic youth welfare of the Diocese of Regensburg, to the Süddeutsche Zeitung. “But for the children who were and are there, it is of course a traumatizing event.” Crisis intervention teams are on site for them and the employees. In addition, the facility itself has formed a crisis team that is supposed to catch the children and young people directly and accompany them carefully so that they have structure and contact persons in this situation.

In March, in Germany, the killing of twelve-year-old Louise made headlines. She had been killed by two girls who were friends with around 75 stab wounds.
