Ten people were injured in a shooting outside a Queens nightclub early Thursday morning. The victims, aged 16 to 20, were waiting to enter a private event at Amazura nightclub in jamaica, Queens, when they were targeted by gunfire.
According to New York Police Department Chief of Patrol Philip Rivera, about 15 people were gathered outside the club at approximately 11:15 p.m. Wednesday when four men approached on foot. Three or four of the men opened fire, discharging around 30 shots before fleeing the scene on foot and escaping in a sedan with out-of-state licence plates.
All ten victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals. “There is “zero tolerance for thes senseless shootings,” Chief Rivera stated during a press conference.
