$10 worth of investment agreements signed on the first day of the Arab-China trade conference

30 agreements worth 37.5 billion riyals (ten billion dollars) have been signed on the first day of the ‘Arab-China trade conference’ in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Sunday.

According to Arab media reports, agreements have been signed in technology, renewable energy resources, agriculture, minerals, real estate, tourism, supply chain and healthcare sectors.

According to the Saudi Minister of Investments, the Saudi government has signed agreements with several Chinese companies for projects in automotive research, development, manufacturing, sales, tourism and development of other applications in addition to the production of railway wagons and wheels in the kingdom. Includes joint ventures.

According to the report, many agreements have been signed in the government and private sectors. Contracts worth more than 5.6 billion dollars have been signed between the Saudi Ministry of Investment and the Chinese company.

Speaking at the conference, Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said, “I wouldn’t be surprised if you hear more announcements about Saudi, Chinese investment soon.”

He said that “Saudi Arabia wants cooperation with the world’s second largest economy instead of competition”.

He said that there is harmony between the two countries because the country is continuously developing under Vision 2030 while China is implementing its Belt and Road Initiative.
