1:0 – Ried’s striker Sane was too fast for FAC

Third win in three games, still without conceding a goal – SV Guntamatic Ried extended the perfect start to the 2nd football league. The 1-0 (1-0) win in Vienna against FAC was also deserved because the Innviertel team accepted the gifts that the fourth-placed team had offered the previous season.

Three minutes before the break were decisive: FAC defense chief Christian Bubalovic could not receive a back pass cleanly, Saliou Sane was there, won the ball and was brought down by the last man of the Floridsdorf team – Bubalovic did not complain, but was angry with himself when referee Arnes Talic showed him the red card (35th).

Ried also received help from Floridsdorf when they took the lead. At first, no one was paying attention when a corner was played short, and although Ried’s Michael Sollbauer missed the ball when it was crossed into the penalty area, it irritated Lukas Gabbichler – the cross bounced off the FAC player’s leg, Sane was faster than everyone else and tapped in – 1:0 (38′).

With the numerical advantage and the lead, Ried mostly let the ball and the opponent run in their half of the field. The victory was never in danger. The only downside was the substitution of Oliver Steurer: He stopped a counterattack on the halfway line, and the defender injured his upper body in the collision.
