One of the most popular social networks nowadays – mainly because it represents a “real” construction regarding life and problems -, the Twitter already has more than a decade of history. The platform was created by Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Noah Glass in March 2006 and launched in the United States in July of the same year. The founders’ idea was that the platform would be a kind of “Internet SMS” with the limitation of letters and symbols of a cell phone message. Thus, a delimitation of 140 characters per “publication” was created.
Since then, the social network has changed a lot, both in terms of design (it is now even possible to leave it in dark mode) and in the most common technological updates, such as emojis and the like. Those who were used to using 140 characters, inclusive, had to adapt in 2017, when Twitter decided that the limit was no longer so relevant and increased the delimitation to 280 characters.
Nowadays, the Twitter it is already part of the lives of many people around the world and, of course, here in Brazil it would be no different. The country is one of the ten that most uses the platform in the world. The social network is used as a means of interaction in live programs, as a support network (when tags with popular topics are raised at the moment) and even as a means of publishing news.
