10-minute intervals for the history book | SN.at

For months now, the trolleybus has not run every 10 minutes, and nobody can hope that this will ever happen once more. There is a lack of staff everywhere, and Salzburg AG does not really advertise the job of trolleybus driver either.

The Albus is also looking for people for the new line 11 from May. After the last violent attacks on the staff there was not even any public support for the employees, who would want to do the work then?

The timetable will be thinned out by the end of March, and then it will probably continue until summer. There is a lack of staff due to holidays and when school starts in September there will probably no longer be drivers, because they would have to be trained in the summer. So: goodbye 10-minute intervals, we’ll only see you in the history book.

Incidentally, Salzburg AG is breaking contracts that guarantee a minimum service in public transport. The city government should think regarding this and impose penalties. Those responsible, who have been running the business down for years and have criminally neglected the staff, cannot get off scot-free. But at the end of the day, it’s always the drivers who suffer, the leaders are fine and well cared for.
