The OpenAI company is pushing ahead with its goal of opening the world’s first artificial intelligence (AI)-centric app store. OpenAI, the company behind the popular AI chat system ChatGPT, intended to open a store for AI-centric apps, similar to smartphone apps, called GPT Store. Recent drama within the company, including the firing of OpenAI chief Sam Altman, has derailed the project. Anyway, the company is now trying to open the app store early next year.

NASA may not put humans on the moon before 2027

America’s National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has encountered problems in its efforts to land humans on the moon in 2025. The Artemis 3 mission was part of the plan to land humans on the Moon. A report released by the United States Government Accountability Office says that under current circumstances, this cannot be done before 2027.

According to the report, problems have arisen with the construction of lunar landers and space suits. Some of the test flights that were to be conducted now had to be postponed. In other words, further tests of these will also be delayed. The report says that many complex and important issues remain to be completed. Due to these reasons, the Artemis 3 mission, which was announced to be carried out in 2025, may not take place at that time.

Chroma warns buyers

Fraud in the name of Croma, an online-offline retailer under the Tata Group. The information released by Croma itself is that as the number of people who come to buy devices and other things at a discount in the Croma Black Friday sale is increasing, fraudsters are also becoming active. This year the Black Friday sale was on November 24-26. The company says individuals pretending to be employees of Chroma are acting as middlemen and conning customers. The company is warning regarding this threat.

The company says it should be aware that it sells its products exclusively through Croma.com (www.croma.com), the Tata Neu (Neu) app and over 440 stores across India. The warning also says to completely avoid websites that claim to work with Chroma. The company has released the names of the two websites that operate in this way (cromawholesellers.com or cromawholesale.com).

Chroma also says to be careful regarding money transactions. The company says that its employees are not allowed to buy their own money, and that there are clear criteria for doing so. The company informs that it will never make a phone call saying it has deals on Chroma.

Daikin to launch energy saving AC

Archyde.com reports that Japanese air conditioner maker Daikin Industries will try to launch more energy-efficient ACs. In the current financial year, it is planned to install regarding 1 crore ACs for households. But Dykin plans to make new chips for inverters in next-generation ACs. Inclusion of such chips may increase the cost of ACs. However, the company says that they will use relatively little power, which will benefit customers.

The chips will make the AC’s compressor and motor run more efficiently. The company expects to use the new chips in the high-end ACs it will sell starting in 2025. It may be extended to other models gradually. In the wake of global warming, sales of ACs may rise sharply. According to the data released by the International Energy Agency, by 2050 there will be around 5.6 billion ACs operating globally.
