1.5-year-old baby dies after being hit by his dad’s car, which was reversing

A one-and-a-half-year-old child died in a dramatic accident on Sunday in Lochristi. The child was hit by his father, reports the prosecution of East Flanders.

The one-and-a-half-year-old child was crawling on a driveway on Dahlia Avenue in Lochristi on Sunday followingnoon around 3 p.m.

The father reversed his vehicle on the same driveway but did not see that the child was behind on all fours. The child did not survive the impact.

The prosecution appointed a traffic expert to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
