Romain returns to a city and a club that he knows well. Having arrived in the Cité du Ponant in 2020 from AS Monaco, the native of Asnières-sur-Seine had a superb first season with the Ty-Zefs: 6 goals and 5 assists in 36 Ligue 1 matches. The following season would be just as good, as the 25-year-old delivered 7 goals and 5 assists in 21 matches. Following these good performances, the right winger signed with Olympique Lyonnais during the winter transfer window of the 2020-21 season. In the Rhône, Romain Faivre played 24 matches in 1 and a half seasons before returning to Brittany, to FC Lorient during the 2nd half of the 2022-23 season. After 1 year at FCL, Romain decided to try the English adventure and signed with AFC Bournemouth, a Premier League player, and played 5 league matches.
Back in Brest, Romain Faivre, who will wear number 21 this season, will return to Ligue 1 McDonald’s, and will also play in the Champions League for the first time in his career. With 115 Ligue 1 matches under his belt, his experience will be a new asset for the Ty-Zefs.
