Olympique Lyon gave Austria’s women’s soccer champions SKN St. Pölten a lesson in the Women’s Champions League.

In front of 1098 fans in the NV Arena, the St. Pölten defensive wall held for 21 minutes. Then top star Ada Hegerberg (21st) and Sara Däbritz (22nd) scored within 60 seconds to give the record winners of the Champions League a 2-0 lead. Hegerberg increased the score to 3-0 before the break (36th) once morest an overwhelmed host defense. The one-way street football continued following the break, Vanessa Gilles (55th), Dzsenifer Marozsan (79th), Kadidiatou Diani (83rd) and Däbritz (87th) with a dream shot into the top corner scored the further goals to make the final score 0:7. A strong Carina Schlüter in the SKN goal prevented an even bigger defeat.
