Our canine friends have been surprising us for a long time, particularly with their ability to interpret our emotions and our language. A team of researchers recently sought to learn more about their ability to hear and interpret sounds during sleep. As part of this study, scientists from Loránd-Eötvös University (Budapest, Hungary) broadcast recordings of non-verbal vocalizations of humans and dogs to 13 dogs during their phase (The word phase can have several meanings, it used in several areas and…) of wakefulness, drowsiness and non-paradoxical sleep.
