[아이뉴스24 정종오 기자] A total lunar eclipse occurred in the United States late at night on the 15th local time. A total lunar eclipse is a phenomenon in which the ‘sun-earth-moon’ is in a straight line and the moon enters the earth’s shadow.
On the 15th, the Griffith Observatory in the US broadcast a real-time total lunar eclipse. In the Griffith Observatory video, the moon shines red as it enters the earth’s shadow and then comes out of the shadows and finds its own shape.
The total lunar eclipse might not be seen in Korea because it was daytime. The total lunar eclipse seen in Korea this year will be on November 8.
