The People’s Power Ethics Committee decided to initiate disciplinary procedures once morest Yongsan-gu Mayor Park Hee-young.
Party Central Ethics Committee Chairman Lee Yang-hee met with reporters following the general meeting of the Ethics Committee yesterday (25th) and said that Mayor Park had violated the duty to maintain dignity by causing social controversy with inappropriate words and actions.
However, it was explained that it was difficult to judge whether Mayor Park had made a mistake in his duties, as it was not under the jurisdiction of the Ethics Committee.
In addition, on the 2nd, the Ethics Committee dismissed the request for a retrial filed by former party leader Cheol-geun Kim, saying that despite the police’s decision not to send it, it was still recognized that the fact of writing a pledge to attract investment of 700 million won was recognized.
On the other hand, the additional disciplinary issue of former CEO Lee Jun-seok was not included in the agenda for this meeting.
