North Korea, nuclear force ‘sprint’… The background is close to North Korea, China and Russia?

As North Korea’s seventh nuclear test is imminent, the relationship between North Korea, China and Russia is also drawing attention.

China and Russia both claimed to be the backbone of North Korea when they rejected a resolution on additional sanctions once morest North Korea at the UN Security Council.

This year, the security situation on the Korean Peninsula has been moving rapidly.

In March, North Korea broke the moratorium by firing intercontinental ballistic missiles and ICBMs, opening up the possibility of using nuclear weapons preemptively.

Instead of using nuclear as a negotiating card to obtain security guarantees and economic support, he made clear his intention to strengthen the nuclear force itself.

During the Beijing Winter Olympics, North Korea stopped provocations and supported Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, taking steps closer to China and Russia.

Analysts say that they decided to take a standoff with the United States when it was decided that they might survive by relying on traditional allies.

China and Russia, which are permanent members of the UN Security Council, have in fact rejected a resolution to impose additional sanctions on North Korea, and have been outspoken with North Korea.

Even if North Korea carries out its seventh nuclear test, it does not seem easy for the two countries to change their positions.

In the end, if South Korea, the U.S., and Japan strengthen cooperation with North Korea’s successive provocations, the ties between North Korea, China and Russia will become stronger, and the new Cold War structure in Northeast Asia is expected to further solidify.
