[영상M] Shop owner caught voice phishing collection book “It feels perfect! I ordered it”

Last July, in front of Gonjiam Tunnel in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do.

A man who had been talking on the phone for a while next to an electric wheelchair went into an alley further down and continued the call.

After watching the phone call for over 30 minutes, the owner of a nearby store looked into the electric wheelchair and ran straight to the police box 200 meters away.

As the store owner walked out following making the report, he saw a bundle of cash being handed over to a voice phishing collector wearing a white hat.

When the collection book, who had received this bundle of cash, left the place, the informant called the police with an urgent gesture.

“There was a lot of money in the cash bag I got from the bank. There aren’t many people who carry cash. Carrying so much cash is a bit…. It just feels right in the moment!”

Gyeonggi Gwangju Police Station sent a voice phishing cash collection book to the prosecution without detention on charges of fraud and abetting fraud.

The collector was supposed to make contact with the voice phishing director near the Gonjiam Tunnel, but the police are also pursuing him.

The amount of damage was 15 million won.

It was investigated that the victim was trying to deceive the victim into repaying the existing loan by offering a loan with a low interest rate.

The police will select the shop owner who has contributed from reporting to arrest as a ‘phishing keeper’ and will award a certificate of commendation and compensation for the report.

‘Phishing Keeper’ is a name given to citizens who have helped prevent voice phishing damage and arrest criminals.
