[영상] Squid Game Heroine Jeong Ho-yeon Dress, Louis Vuitton “It took 600 hours to make”

(Busan = International News) Reporter Ha-yeon Jo = Actor Jeong Ho-yeon, who rose to stardom with the Netflix original series ‘Squid Game’, captured the world’s attention with a Louis Vuitton dress and hairpiece that appeared at the 74th Emmy Awards.

Jeong Ho-yeon, who was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Award and attended the ceremony, unfortunately did not receive the award on that day, but she introduced the traditional beauty of Korea to the world with her unique appearance.

The dress worn by Ho-yeon Jeong, who is working as a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton, was completed by hand by French designers.

The dress worn by Jeong Ho-yeon on this day is made of silk and hand-embroidered with embroidery wraps around the entire dress.

Louis Vuitton told the story behind the dress work on the 14th, and explained, “The tweed pattern with a three-dimensional sense of depth is embroidered with pastel colored Langro and sequins on a black sequin background.”

Embroidery that sparkles with Jeong Ho-yeon’s movement reminded me of the mother-of-pearl of a gold clam shell, a unique Korean craft.

It was said that it took 110 hours to create the dress that Louis Vuitton designed for Jeong Ho-yeon.

In particular, it was completed following 600 hours of meticulous work, including placing 20,000 sequins and embroidering an additional 490 hours.

The hairpiece, reminiscent of the traditional Korean accessory ‘Chupji’, is said to be inspired by the golden petals of chrysanthemums.

The hairpiece is made with sequins, crystals and mother-of-pearl for a dazzling shine.

The process of making the hairpiece was carried out in collaboration with various fields such as design, jewelry, and plating, and took over 30 hours to complete.

Previously, Jung Ho-yeon received attention for styling inspired by Korean traditional clothes at the SAG Awards in March.

At that time, Jeong Ho-yeon appeared in a black dress with a colorful pattern reminiscent of mother-of-pearl and with braided hair.

In particular, the hairstyle requested by Jeong Ho-yeon received great reviews.

The accessories worn by Jeong Ho-yeon on long braids were inspired by our own ‘Daenggi’.

Louis Vuitton designer Nicolas Ghesquière is said to have specially created it from the same fabric as the dress.
