Singer and actor Lee Seung-gi, who started a full-fledged lawsuit with his agency, filed a complaint once morest former and current executives, including CEO Kwon Jin-young, for embezzlement of expenses and fraud. Lee Seung-gi filed a criminal complaint following finding out that the company had defrauded the company of model fees and agency fees in addition to the unpaid settlement amount. Legal representative Lee Dong-hoon said, “I asked for a statement of accounts, but if I had apologized first, I had the idea to resolve it amicably. However, he felt that he was taking his position by paying the settlement in Hook, and he proceeded with criminal complaint accordingly.”
However, there is a difference in the settlement money between Hook Entertainment and Lee Seung-gi, and Lee Seung-gi claims to have paid 5 billion won and the hook side has paid 4.1 billion won. The legal representative said, “It is true that the amount of 5 billion won that Lee Seung-gi revealed was deposited. Hook is only revealing 4.1 billion won, but it comes to 5 billion won, including the difference from swindling part of the model fee.”
When Lee Seung-gi took a commercial, a 10% agency fee was incurred, but the fee was changed. Lee Seung-gi’s side has been found to have cheated on the changed commission without Lee Seung-gi’s knowledge, and Lee Seung-gi’s side is aware that he has been stealing agency fees since 2010. Lee Seung-gi’s side showed a firm position, “There will be criminal charges in the future.” On the other hand, Hook is in a situation where he strongly refutes the fact of defrauding, saying, “We are preparing a lawsuit for the return of unfair profits.”
