The second round of the semi-playoff between Kiwoom and kt will continue today (17) at 6:30 pm at the Gocheok Sky Dome, home of Kiwoom.
While Kiwoom, who placed 3rd in the regular league, took one win first thanks to Ahn Woo-jin’s strong pitching and batting line concentration yesterday, Kiwoom predicted foreign ace Yokishi and kt announced Benjamin as the starting pitcher, respectively.
Benjamin appeared as a bullpen pitcher in the 8th innings of the wild card game against KIA, laying the foundation for victory, and kt manager Lee Kang-cheol returned Benjamin to his original starting position from the semi-PO.
Kiwoom Manager Hong Won-ki, who won the precious first leg of the best-of-five series, is aiming for a second win in today’s game through effective division of labor between the starter and the bullpen pitcher.
