Argentina advanced to the World Cup finals by beating Croatia with one goal and one assist from Messi.
Messi has only one win left to a championship he has never achieved.

One of the greatest players in football history, Lionel Messi, has one unfulfilled dream.
It’s a World Cup win.
Messi has won seven Ballon d’Or awards, which are awarded by the world’s best soccer player, and has lifted countless trophies with his club team, but no World Cup trophies.
Along with Pele and Maradona, he was considered one of the greatest players of all time, but for Messi, the runner-up in the World Cup in Brazil was the best record.
If Argentina wins this competition, Messi’s soccer legend is complete.
