Hwang Hee-chan’s come-from-behind goal once morest Portugal at the Qatar World Cup was selected as the best goal of the year by fans.
The Korea Football Association said, “As a result of the ‘Goal of the Year’ fan vote conducted through the association’s website from the 12th to the 21st, Hwang Hee-chan’s goal took first place with full support.”
Hwang Hee-chan’s goal, which led Korea to advance to the World Cup round of 16 following 12 years, garnered support from 10,807, nearly half of the 22,360 total voters.
Cho Kyu-seong’s diving header equalizer scored once morest Ghana in second place, and Baek Seung-ho’s left-footed volley in the round of 16 match once morest Brazil ranked third.
