In 2003, Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich bought Chelsea and invested heavily in player acquisition. And in 2004, a goalkeeper was signed from Stade Rennes.
That goalkeeper is Cech. Cech, who was highly regarded for his potential, immediately established himself as a starter for the team upon transfer. And thanks to Cech, who kept the goal firmly, Chelsea won the league title for the second year in a row.
