When the amendment bill to the Prosecutor’s Office passed the plenary session of the National Assembly on the 30th of last month, the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office requested the convening of a ‘Government Legislative Policy Council’.
On the 29th of last month, the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office announced on the 1st that it had requested the convening of the Government Legislative Policy Council to present a unified government opinion on the amendments to the Prosecutor’s Office Act and the Criminal Procedure Act, which are bills that are overhauled.
The Government Legislative Policy Council is responsible for coordinating the government’s response to legislative proposals.
The Supreme Prosecutor’s Office also requested that the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office be given an opportunity to submit an opinion when the amendment bill to the Prosecutor’s Office Act is transferred to the government.
The Supreme Prosecutor said, “I expect that the Ministry of Legislation, which specializes in legal affairs, such as the review of bills to be presented at the National Assembly and the review of bills proposed by the National Assembly, will make responsible and wise decisions.”
