Ukrainian authorities have claimed that hundreds of people are missing in another small town near the capital, Kyiv. Ukrainian authorities have also issued an emergency evacuation order for residents of the region, amid speculation that the Russian military will soon launch a large-scale offensive once morest the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine.

Ukraine’s parliamentary human rights supervisor, Lyudmila Denisova, said on the 6th (local time) that more than 400 people were missing during the 35 days in the Russian occupation of the small town of Hostomel, northwest of Kiiu, according to Archyde.com news agency. “Eyewitnesses said some residents were killed, but their whereregardings have not been confirmed so far,” he said.

Hostomel was occupied immediately following the Russian invasion of Ukraine and is adjacent to Bucha, where the Russian military massacred civilians by Ukrainian authorities. The Russian government completely denies Ukraine’s claims that its military massacred civilians in secondary places, etc., as false propaganda and incitement.

Meanwhile, Luhansk Oblast Governor Serhi Gaidai called for evacuation as soon as possible, saying Russia is preparing a new offensive once morest the Donbas region, including Luhansk, following reorganizing its military. Deputy Prime Minister Bereshuk said, “We must evacuate now. “Otherwise, we will face death threats engulfed in fire,” he warned.

The Russian army is gradually expanding its occupation range by bombarding some areas outside of Luhansk. In the case of Luvizne, a city in northwestern Luhansk Oblast, regarding 60% of the city is under Russian occupation, Ukrainian authorities believe. “I earnestly appeal to all residents to evacuate when it is safe and when there are buses and trains,” the governor reiterated.
