[속보] 100,000 people already at 9pm… 10,512 confirmed cases, 3,661 higher than yesterday

As the Omicron mutation spreads rapidly, more than 100,000 new cases of COVID-19 have already been confirmed by 9 pm on the 19th. This marks the third day in a row with 100,000 new confirmed cases per day.

According to local governments including Seoul, the number of people who tested positive for COVID-19 in 17 cities and provinces across the country from 0 am to 9 pm on the same day was 105,512.

This is 3661 more people than the same time count the day before.

As there is still time left until midnight, when the counting ends, the number of new confirmed cases to be announced on the 20th is expected to increase further, reaching the mid-100,000s.

As of 9 p.m. on the same day, 61,400 new confirmed cases were recorded in the metropolitan area, accounting for 61.1% of the total. In 14 non-metropolitan cities and provinces, 39,112 people (38.9%) occurred.

On the other hand, starting from this day, when entering facilities that do not apply the quarantine pass (inoculation certificate, voice confirmation system), such as department stores and large marts, you do not need to fill out the entry list.

The business hours of restaurants and cafes will be extended from this day to the 13th of the following month until 10 pm for three weeks.

The maximum number of private meetings is maintained at 6 people.

The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters announced a plan to adjust social distancing with such content as the main point the day before.
