Prosecutors investigating the corruption in Daejang-dong are gathering their investigative powers again to pursue the whereabouts of the black money surrounding Hwacheon Dae-yu as Mr. Kim Man-bae’s physical condition improves.
From money transactions with reporters who are close to Kim to lawyer fees, they are rummaging through, but it seems that the intention is toward Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung.

Prosecutors emphasized that since the arrest of Lee Jae-myung’s closest aide, former head of the Political Coordination Office, Jeong Jin-sang, all of Daejang-dong’s statements, except for Kim Man-bae, are consistent.
In unison, Jeong claimed that he was promised a stake in Cheonhwadongin for a bribe, but Mr. Kim claimed that he was denying it for fear of being punished.
This claim was accepted to some extent in the court, and the former chief was arrested and indicted.
However, contrary to the expectation that the prosecution’s investigation would target the former head of the former chief, Lee Jae-myeong, it is spreading around Mr. Kim Man-bae.
If the prosecution, who had already tracked the accounts around CEO Lee, had caught the suspicious flow of funds, they would have immediately launched an additional compulsory investigation, but there are observations that it would be difficult to proceed with the investigation without Mr. Kim’s statement.

Currently, the link between CEO Lee and the black money in Daejang-dong is the key to election funds and shares in Cheonhwa-dong.
Attorney Nam Wook, who is said to have provided Lee with 800 million won in presidential contest funds, created a slush fund of 4.2 billion won before and after the 2014 local elections and handed it over to Mr. Kim, but claims that he lost control of the Daejang-dong business afterwards.
It is claimed that Kim gave the presidential election funds to Lee during the last presidential election because he did not respond to former chief Jeong’s request for 2 billion won.
The promise of shares in Cheonhwa Dongin also claims to have been heard, and former chief Jung’s side refutes that it is just a message without proof.
After arresting the CEO and director of Hwacheon Daeyu, the prosecution declared that it would pursue the profits of Daejang-dong to the end, even after Mr. Kim harmed himself.
So far, we have frozen about 100 billion won, and recently, we are behind in money transactions with reporters who were close to Kim and lawyer fees.
It is not common sense to trade hundreds of millions of won with reporters and hand over 10 billion won in fees to a law firm.
It seems clear that he is pressuring Mr. Kim in all directions, but it remains to be seen whether he will stay in the investigation to recover simple criminal proceeds or expand into an investigation to uncover the suspicion of Lee’s involvement.
