It was confirmed by MBC coverage that Kookmin University, which had not taken any action for over three months, recently filed an administrative appeal once morest the results of the Ministry of Education’s audit.

“At the time of applying for an adjunct professor, I falsely stated some academic background and experience and skipped the interview.”
This is the conclusion reached by the Ministry of Education in January on the examination of Kookmin University appointment of Kim Kun-hee, wife of Yoon Seok-yeol.
The Ministry of Education notified Kookmin University to take measures in accordance with ‘relevant regulations’.
According to school regulations, if false information is found in the application documents, the appointment must be withdrawn.
Kim’s ‘professorship’ will be deleted.
However, the MBC coverage confirmed that Kookmin University, which had not taken any action for over three months, filed an administrative appeal with the Administrative Appeals Committee on the 25th of last month.
They are dissatisfied with the results of the Ministry of Education’s audit of not properly verifying false careers, as well as the dispositions accordingly.
It was a week before the inauguration of a new government.

“If you file an administrative trial lawsuit, it can take several months or longer, up to a year, but I can only see it as an intention to cover up the problem by wasting time.”
Kookmin University replied that it would proceed according to the ‘internal procedure’ when MBC confirmed last month whether Kim Gun-hee’s appointment as a professor was cancelled.

“I can’t tell you the details, but we plan to proceed according to internal procedures.”
Kookmin University’s request for administrative adjudication has also delayed the final decision of the school regarding Kim’s false history for a considerable period of time.
Kookmin University also continues to delay the announcement of the allegation of plagiarism, which has been re-examined for over three months.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education announced today a bill stating that when hiring professors in the future, it is necessary to check whether the actual academic background and experience match the submitted documents.
